Micro Linear Actuators In Prosthetics - Actuonix Motion Devices

As a manufacturer of electric micro linear actuators, one of the industries that we're most excited to be directly involved with is the production of prosthetics. In recent years, we have had the privilege of working with several companies that manufacture prosthetics. This involvement has ranged from recommending the best linear actuator to meet the needs of the client, through to fully custom solutions designed to integrate seamlessly into their product.

Prosthetic technology is rapidly evolving, and the cost of that technology continues to drop. It's possible that in ten or twenty years, every amputee on earth could have access to a prosthetic limb. This would have a huge impact on quality of life for millions of people worldwide.

World's Most Affordable Prosthetic Arm - Low Cost Bionic Arm

Typically a functional bionic prosthetic arm can cost anywhere from $20,000 to $80,000. This is due to many factors, but the primary one is that different components of prosthetic arms (hand, arm, socket) are traditionally manufactured in different facilities, by different companies. By nature, this adds in layers of cost.

Our goal is to create an affordable and accessible solution. By utilizing technology such as 3D scanning and 3D printing, and manufacturing and fabricating TrueLimb in one facility, we are able to drive costs way down while keeping quality high. TrueLimb is drastically more affordable than anything on the market, costing only $7,995. We also offer the option to finance for as low as $278/month at 0% APR for 36 months.

We don’t accept insurance, and that’s how we are able to keep our cost for TrueLimb so affordable. Because we don’t work with insurance companies it allows you to be in control of the choice you make in your personalized prosthetic device. It also allows the process to operate much quicker because we aren’t waiting for approvals from the insurance company.
