Bead blasting setup questions? - UZI Talk Forums
Hello,
I'm thinking I'd like to be able to do some beadblasting of suppressor baffles. What do I need besides a compressor to do this. I'm only going to do this periodically and won't likely use the blaster for much else. I was looking at a blasting cabinet for about $130 at Harbor Freight. Is there anything else needed?
Jake Jake the best way to get a sand blast cabinet is to check the local paper craig's list etc and find a good used one.
I have one made by Snap On that I got for $300 the best money I ever spent!!
I had a bench top like the one you have pictured the plexy class window only last if your lucky 5 minutes. And the nozzle about 10 minutes
Here are some important features that I feel are critical when getting a blast cabinet.
1 tempered glass window
2 Carbide nozzle
3 dust collector
4 hopper for easy media changes
Jake the only things I have had to replace on my cabinet are the rubber gloves, glass window, and I replaced the ceramic nozzle for a carbide one ten years ago it looks as good as the day I put it in
