Limestone digestion needs to be carried out under high temperature and pressure, and it is difficult to obtain products at normal temperature. The ammonium bicarbonate in the reaction product is generally unstable and needs to be heated to dissociate to obtain ammonium hydroxide and carbon dioxide. After dissociation, the product was filtered and separated to obtain ammonium bicarbonate mother liquor.

4. Filtrate treatment

Ammonium bicarbonate mother liquor contains impurities, which need to be removed by filtrate treatment. In the treatment process, asbestos filter cloth or rotary filter is generally used to separate impurities.

The ammonium bicarbonate solution is evaporated through a multistage evaporator to obtain soda ash. Ammonium bicarbonate is first removed from the suspension in a high-speed centrifugal filter, and then evaporated through a multi-stage evaporator, so that the concentration is continuously increased until it reaches a saturated concentration. At saturated concentration, the product has almost no water, to meet the requirements of soda ash. At the same time, during the evaporation process, carbon dioxide is released by heating and pressurizing to produce sodium carbonate.

6. Finished product preparation

After obtaining soda ash, subsequent processing such as powder making, cube making or crystal making can be carried out to make it meet customer needs.
